WHAT IT IS:
The Deathtrap is Garrett Reynolds' signature frame from Premium. The frame is available in two top tube sizes (20.5", 21.0"), with a 13.5" chainstay length, 11.5" bottom bracket height and 75 degree head tube angle. Features of the frame include an integrated headset and seatpost clamp, Mid bottom bracket, tapered seatstays and chainstays, and removable gyro tabs, brake bosses and cable guides.

WHY IT RULES:
Since it's not enough to say, "This frame rules because it stands up to the daily abuse of a beast like Garrett Reynolds," we'll quantify it with quotes from Garrett about why he likes the Deathtrap frame. "It's got a bit of a steeper head tube angle [for nose wheelies] and a short back end, cause I'm pretty short. I feel like it's easier to bunnyhop high with a shorter back end," says Garrett. As evidenced by Garrett, the Deathtrap frame pulls nose wheelies with ease and can hop high. But the Deathtrap also withstands grind abuse. According to Garrett, "I told Premium I wanted thicker dropouts and I got a nice thick dropouts. For once in my life, I don't bend my frame to the point that my wheel gets stuck in there. I'm super psyched on that." But let's get into this further. Garrett rides his frames for a long time, and destroys street and park, and doesn't break his frames. Although the Deathtrap might not be the lightest frame on the market today, it compensates through its ability to withstand the rigors of progressive street and park riding from one of the top riders in the BMX game today.
